In high school, Bob Borberg, Owner/Operator of Chiusano’s Brick Oven Pizzeria, shot clay pigeons not far from where his restaurant now stands in the Village West area. While earning his Construction Science & Management degree from Kansas State University, Bob tended bar and cooked in Aggieville during school months, and framed houses in the summer to supplement his income. 

It’s no secret that food is a delicious component to Kansas City culture, and Krizman’s Sausage has been a part of this for more than 75 years. At the locally-owned and operated meat market located in the historic Strawberry Hill area of Kansas City, KS, the Krizmans have been welcoming locals and visitors into their family from the start.

For our visitors that are of an appropriate age, I have invited only the best local and regional
brewers to Canterbury for daily Craft Beer tastings!

1. What is your can’t miss attraction in Kansas City, KS?
So many to choose from, but I think I have to say Kaw Point Park. This is where the Kansas and Missouri rivers meet, where Lewis and Clark camped and it has the most beautiful and peaceful view in the KC metro. It is a hidden gem in the middle of downtown.

1. What is your can’t miss attraction in Kansas City, KS?

For me, a T-Bones game is the way to go! I love enjoying summer evenings at CommunityAmerica Ballpark. It's family fun at a great price.

2. Where is your favorite place to eat?

Yard House is my favorite place to eat. Great food, service and music! It's happy hour has got a good selection of appetizers and drinks.

1. What is your can’t miss attraction in Kansas City, KS?

I would definitely recommend going to watch Sporting Kansas City play to anyone who visits the area. I’m a far-cry from a sports fanatic, but Sporting KC matches are always so exciting! Sporting Park is an incredible facility and the KC Cauldron keeps the crowd full of energy throughout the match.

My very favorite thing to do in the summertime is visit Schlitterbahn Kansas City Waterpark. There are so many fun rides and you can even bring in outside food to save some money!
