The downtown Kansas City Kansas building to house three Wyandotte County civic organizations

Visit Kansas City Kansas (Visit KCK) is relocating its offices from 755 Minnesota Avenue to 727 Minnesota Avenue in the KCK Chamber building. The move brings together three Wyandotte County civic organizations under the same roof: Visit KCK, the KCK Chamber and the Wyandotte Economic Development Council.

Visit KCK will occupy the first floor of the building and open a visitor center in the space where visitors can get information on things to do in Wyandotte County as well as purchase KCK merchandise.

"This move builds upon a rich history of collaboration from our organizations, especially on key initiatives like 2026 World Cup preparations,” said Alan Carr, executive director of Visit KCK. “Being just steps away from our partners in the Chamber and WYEDC will foster spontaneous conversations and spark new ideas in the hallways, ultimately enabling us to better promote and serve all of Wyandotte County.”

The building at 727 Minnesota Avenue has been a landmark in Kansas City, Kansas for more than a century. It was originally home to Wyandotte Lodge #440 of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and later the Mercantile Club, both central to the city’s social and commercial life. In 1918, the Chamber of Commerce purchased and reconstructed the building, making it one of the first chambers in the country to own its own office space. Today, the building continues to serve as a hub for civic and business activity in downtown Kansas City, Kansas.

"Consolidating offices creates a powerful new synergy for tourism, economic development and business support in our community," said Renee Hadley, president of the KCK Chamber. "We are delighted that the Chamber building can serve as a collaborative home for our organizations as we all work to promote Wyandotte County as a great place to live, work, and visit.”

“We’re excited to welcome Visit Kansas City Kansas into a shared downtown space,” said Greg Kindle, president of Wyandotte Economic Development Council. “But it’s more than just being co-located, it’s about building momentum and creating a dynamic hub for innovation, tourism, and economic growth.”
