Kansas City, Kan. — National Taco Day is Tuesday, October 7, and Visit Kansas City Kansas is inviting taco lovers to celebrate with 150 free tacos and double points on the KCK Taco Trail. Whether you are a taco lover or new to the trail, these special offers will help you experience the best tacos in town.
Free Tacos at Frutopia KCK and Tapatio Mexican Grill
Starting at 11 a.m. at Tapatio Mexican Grill, the first 150 visitors, will receive a free chicken or beef taco. Starting at 10 a.m. at Frutopia KCK, the first 75 visitors will receive a free chicken or beef taco. Visitors can explore the vibrant neighborhoods of Kansas City Kansas while sampling flavors that reflect the city’s rich culinary heritage. To redeem a free taco, show the National Taco Day post from Visit Kansas City Kansas’ Facebook or Instagram page and check in on the KCK Taco Trail pass at the restaurant.
Double Points on Taco Trail Check-Ins
All check-ins on the KCK Taco Trail will earn double points throughout the day. Points can be redeemed for prizes, including Taco Trail merchandise and VIP experiences. The promotions give taco enthusiasts a fun reason to plan a full day of trail adventures and discover some of Kansas City Kansas’ most popular taquerias.

The KCK Taco Trail is a culinary adventure highlighting more than 60 taquerias across Kansas City Kansas. With 52 weeks in a year, there is a new spot to explore every Taco Tuesday. The trail celebrates the city’s diverse flavors and cultures and offers a one-of-a-kind experience for food enthusiasts. Participants can sign up for a free Taco Trail pass via email or text, check in at participating restaurants to earn points, and redeem rewards throughout the end of 2026.
