The Kansas City Kansas Convention and Visitors Bureau is seeking a Visitor Services Coordinator.  This position is the primary contact for visitor inquires and performs clerical and administrative functions including front desk and office operations, visitor services fulfillment, database entry, reporting and administrative assistance duties. Occasional off-site assistance at community tradeshows and events.


  • Greet and assist guests via phone, email or in person
  • Plan and schedule appointments and events Draft correspondences and other formal documents
  • Maintain office, inventory and order office supplies
  • Service visitor inquiries, track fulfillment requests and coordinate individual and bulk mailings
  • Input consumer data into CRM and compile reports
  • Maintain calendar of events and listings on partner websites
  • Provide Assistance to Executive Director with administrative tasks
  • Coordinate board meeting logistics including agendas, reminders and minutes
  • Perform all other office tasks as assigned


  • Excellent customer service skills
  • General knowledge of Kansas City KS and the entire KC metro area
  • Previous experience in office administration or other related fields
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • ​Strong organizational skills
  • Experience working in CRM/database systems and navigating the Internet
  • Experience creating reports and working in Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to set up trade show booth and transport materials to off-site events
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle and insurance

Compensation:  $30,000 - $34,000 annually
