2017 Solar Eclipse in Kansas City, KS
Kansas City, KS – On Monday, August 21, 2017, a total solar eclipse will sweep across the entire nation for the first time in 99 years. Starting from Oregon to South Carolina, 14 states will experience more than two minutes of totality including the state of Kansas.
The path of totality will be slicing through the northeast corner of Kansas and observers in Kansas City, KS will experience 23 seconds of darkness. Partial phase will begin at approximately 11:41am with totality starting at approximately 1:08pm. Listed below are viewing parties and events happening in Kansas City, KS on Monday, August 21.
Kansas City T-Bones Viewing Party – Grab your blankets and head to CommunityAmerica Ballpark, home of the Kansas City T-Bones for a spectacular Solar Eclipse Viewing Party. Eclipse viewers should take proper precautions in protecting their eyes. The Kansas City Kansas Convention & Visitors Bureau will be distributing free certified Eclipse Shades through our partners at the following hotels and attractions listed below, while supplies last.
Hotels: All guests checking in at a Kansas City, KS hotel on Sunday, August 20th will receive a complimentary commemorative certified solar eclipse glasses.
