Home to the long-standing and culturally rich Rosedale, Argentine and Armourdale neighborhoods, much of the city’s original growth began around this area. The railroads were a vital part of the Argentine and Armourdale neighborhoods, recruiting many families from Mexico, making it one of the first Hispanic communities to form in the Kansas City area in the late 1800s. The Argentine neighborhood is also home to landmarks such as the Argentine Mural - painted by local artists - dedicated to the community’s history dating back to the 1800s. Rosedale, recently named one of the Best Neighborhoods in Kansas continues to invest in building and maintaining community to the highest degree making it a prime location for families and new businesses to grow.

Just down the street from Joe's is the 42nd Street Mural - a collective effort between the Rosedale Development Association and local artists to preserve the history of the Rosedale area.
