Part of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball, the T-Bones have been in Kansas City, KS since 2003 and are one of 13 teams in the AAIPB. The American Association is an integral part of baseball history, first formed in 1902 with the Kansas City Cowboys as one of the original members. The American Association was revived as the AAIPB in 2005, and the Kansas City T-Bones joined in 2011.
