Head to the Legacy Trail Location: 1951 Flood to learn the story of how the devastating 1951 flood impacted many families and businesses in the Kansas City, Kansas neighborhoods of Armourdale, Argentine, Fairfax, The Patch, and Wolcott. The flood resulted in the loss of 17 lives, displacement if 518,000 people in Kansas, and the destruction of the stockyards. The result was mass migration of Latinos in Armourdale.
