Director of Marketing & Community Relations
This position oversees marketing and community relations programs that promote Kansas City, Kansas to visitors. The Director develops marketing strategy and oversees all marketing activities including advertising buys, marketing projects & publications, website and social media. The position directs all communications and PR functions. The position plans, directs and coordinates activities designed to raise awareness of and grow support for Visit KCK and its initiatives among tourism, community, and industry stakeholders.

This position implements marketing and advertising programs that market Kansas City, Kansas to visitors. The position plays an integral part of the development and execution of marketing programs to target potential visitors from brand awareness to on-site promotion. The ideal candidate is a professional who is well-versed in marketing & advertising concepts, able to manage multiple marketing projects, and generate creative ideas. Responsibilities include managing destination website & CRM system, assisting in the creation of ads & media buys, coordination of visitor publications & marketing projects, and assisting in communications and PR functions.

This position requires a responsible, customer-oriented individual to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of the office. Duties of the Administrative Specialist include providing support to the team, assisting in daily office needs, and managing our company’s general administrative activities. Administrative Assistant responsibilities include front desk and office operations, visitor services fulfillment, database entry, creating reports, and administrative assistance. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools like MS Excel and CRM systems.
