Kansas City Renaissance Festival

Embark on a journey back in time to an enchanted 16-acre village for some old-English fun! The Kansas City Renaissance Festival has been a tradition of Kansas City since its beginning in 1977. The festival is packed with hours of family-friendly entertainment. Each weekend brings something new with themes including: Passport to the World, Wine, Chocolate & Romance, and a Harvest Huzzah.

Enjoy non-stop excitement with street acts and stages filled with music, juggling, fire acts, and lots more magic. Stroll through the shops and artisan booths for hand-crafted gifts and unique creations. Chow down on juicy turkey legs, fried pickles, apple dumplings, and all kinds of delicious festival fare.

Kids will be constantly entertained with more than 50 free family activities. Explore the Fairy Forest and check out their enchanted homes, murals and even catch a glimpse of the fairies themselves. Listen to beautiful mermaids sing at the Mermaid Cove. Soar over the village on a zip line at the Wizard’s Flight School. Ride on an elephant, camel, or even a dragon! Test your strength, practice archery, or dunk a duke! Take a seat on the Throne of Swords and find out if you are the rightful king.

Special royal events go on each day! Join the Queen and her ladies in waiting for a lovely gathering of songs, stories, and sweet treats at the Queen’s Tea. Grab your friends and follow Abkar the Pub Master around the village for beer and revelry during the Royal Pub Crawl. Share champagne and charcuterie with your sweetheart, and take home two keepsake flutes with the Royal Romance Package.

At the end of the day, bow down to the King and Queen of Canterbury and participate in a parade complete with singing, dancing, and merriment. Huzzah!
